Good afternoon,

Thank you for attending chapel on Tuesday, all the students and parents enjoyed our special guest speaker Seargent First Class Gary Littrell’s presentation to the Lower Division students about character and integrity. We were honored to hear from the Medal of Honor Recipient.

Thank you so much for bringing in food to help those in need this Thanksgiving, we collected many bins full of food. The food was picked up by the Dads’ Club this past week and delivered to Metropolitan Ministries, special thanks to Mark Campbell and Alex Walter for their assistance!

Uniform reminder: All cold-weather attire should have the SJE logo on it if your child needs to wear jackets/sweaters in the classroom. If your child does not have cold weather attire, any jackets are fine to be worn outside. If your child wears tights or leggings under their uniform they must be solid colored white, navy or black. No nail polish, please.

All of us at the Lower Division wish you a safe, healthy and blessed Thanksgiving! See you on Monday, December 2nd.

  • No school, Thanksgiving Holiday, Monday, November 25-Friday, November 29. Classes resume, Monday, December 2.
  • 4th-grade parents, field trip reminder! We are taking the 4th graders to Busch Gardens on Friday, December 6th. We need 4 chaperones per class, and we also would love for you to join us! If you would like to chaperone (supervise 4-5 students) please use the sign-up link (BELOW), if you are going to join us on the field trip as a volunteer, please email your child’s teacher. Chaperones and volunteers will need to pay for their own entrance into the park. If you would like to ride the buses we will be leaving right after chapel (around 8:30 a.m.). We plan on returning to school by 2:15 p.m. Students will be eating lunch at the park, so I suggest each child bring $15 for lunch. I would prefer no extra shopping money, please. We ask the students to wear their spirit day attire. We will send more information as it gets closer. Please let me know if you have any questions, big or small! We need one more chaperone for Mr. Salzer’s class and one more for Miss Syversen’s class:
  • Please mark your calendars! We changed the date of the 4th grade Christmas Pageant to Thursday, December 19. This date better accommodates the play practice schedule. The pageant is immediately after chapel on that morning and lasts about 40 minutes until about 9:00 a.m. We apologize for this date change. We will send out more details about the pageant next week. Any questions, please let me know.
