From the Head of School
Parents have many questions when they step onto a new campus, but probably the most important is; “How will this this school help my child flourish, both academically and in life?” At St. John’s, the success of our graduates for the past 70 years speaks to the effectiveness of our response. Their record of achievement in the most challenging Tampa-area high school programs, selective colleges nationwide, and beyond, shows the solid preparation they received in both the skills of a scholar and core values of a citizen.
How do we achieve this? It starts with great teachers and extends to a program rich in learning opportunities in classroom, studio, lab and beyond. Being an Episcopal school, we seek to inculcate values of faith, openness, and compassion. Developing leadership skills early on and communicating high expectations in both behavior and academics are also central to the St. John’s experience.
I hope your exploration of our website will give a glimpse of the many threads – academic, artistic, athletic, social and emotional, and spiritual – that combine in our unique approach, nurturing and challenging each and every one of the children entrusted to our care.
